What does everyone make of the Laser TV news (http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,20556847-2,00.html) that its iwll be the death of Plasma's? They claim laser TV will be with us at the end of 2007 and will be abel to show 90% of what the human eye can see, so its more to do with colours rather than resolution.
I just checked and lasertv.com was reg'd in 2000, I guess I'll never make it as a domainer ;)

Only time will tell... :)
I've not heard of Laser TVs before, I wonder if this means I should postpone buying my plasma.

Laser TVs....
No you shouldn't postpone. Even when laser TV is out, it will probably cost a bomb. You might as well stick to plasma if you have cash.... or otherwise, get a CRT TV. 14" portable :P

I had heard Laser TV's will be comparable with plasma pricing and they don't ever burn out, going on hype from the manufacturers at present though.
If I was going to invest heavily in an HD Plasma I'd want to do more research and consider delaying, the big manufacturers are planning a Dec 07 release so it seems plausible they will replace plasma's as the larger TV standard in the next few years.
Mr Pelaprat predicted LCD TVs would come to dominate the market below 40 inches, and laser television the market above that screen size, displacing plasma.
With a worldwide launch date scheduled for Christmas 2007, under recognisable brands like Mitsubishi and Samsung, Novalux chief executive Jean-Michel Pelaprat is so bold as to predict the death of plasma
Laser vision (http://digg.com/hardware/Laser_TV_unveiled_2)... Australian Dr Larry Marshall and France's Jean-Michel Pelaprat pose before the world's first laser television, which they say uses less power, has more colour range and costs half the price of LCD and plasma screens

I just got a plasma a few months ago and I love it. I'm going to pretend that I never ever heard anything about any new technology. Plasma 4-ever. lol.
I don't wanna have to upgrade! :p

This drives me nuts. Just when you finally can afford to get the newest thing our, another one is right behind it to take its place. I will stick with my Plasma until I get my money's worth out of it.
