View Full Version : Worst gadget purchase?
I'm sure everyone's done it. You went out, bought a gadget only to find it was neglected in a couple weeks and that it was a total waste of money.
For me, it was probably all my PSP games (I only had 4), which I sold on eBay and made a bit of my money back.
What about you?

Hahaha I've had so many, I am having trouble thinking of them.
One thing was my original Xbox. I bought several games for it and just didn't get into playing games that needed a mouse/keyboard with a thumb controller.
I have a bunch of software that I've bought which I never used also. I will often buy software tools with grand intentions of doing neat things (like programming a game) and never take the time to do it (thanks to the day-job and not wanting to do very difficult stuff in the evening - yeah, I'm lazy).

Worst gadget purchase? hmm.... I'm sure I did lots of silly things in the past. Erm... one of them is a cheap palmtop. I thought it works as good as palmtop, but it's more like a calculator and store only memo. nothing else.

Mine was a bottle warmer for my baby. What a waste of money! It took forever to warm up when i could have just put the bottle in warm water from the tap. It was that slow! Not to mention they are unsafe which i didnt realize till after the purchase.

Mine was my xbox too (the first one). I bought into all the hype - bought the xbox with a bunch of games and played them all for no more than a few weeks. It's been sitting under the TV since, under a nice layer of dust. I love playing games, but tend to prefer playing them on my PC.

Mine would of have to have been the diaper genie. It was more of a pain than it was worth.

About 15-20 years ago I bought a 5 meg or 20 meg tape backup drive for my computer. I never really used it but paid like $549.00 for it.

Not the worst, but still a bad one was the big & heavy portable CD player that I bought years ago and only used it a couple of times.
