Im looking for a ipod type music player for my daughter who is in her tweens. Is there such a thing? She needs to distract herself while on the school bus. Thanks! :)

HAHa i remember the ghetto blasters and the hand held tape players. I lived on one of those for school. Thanks Al for the suggestion but i was hoping for something for a 8 year old. I am wondering if mp3's would be better then CD's at this point since the technology is moving so fast i think we will be out of CD's soon.

My son wants one also but at 7 years old and the price of them I would just assume wait a few more years. He would have it ruined within a year.

Disney has one at Toys R us for 48.99. Im looking at that one. I have no idea if that is the normal price. I might just go to best buy and ask a sales clerk if they have a simple model with few features.
