Are there any wireless SCART products out there? Basically I want to mount my plasma on the wall, drill through from an adjoining room to get power to it but then transmit what would be the SCART connection, is there a product to do this yet?

a new innovation?! Al, I don't really recommend transmission of high quality video by wireless method, particularly you have purchased a plasma, which should be giving you good quality moving pictures. With wireless transmission, you may not be able to experience fully the motion images...

do consider.

I know what your saying, however I have a girlfriend that wants to keep the living room very clean and cable free. As the Plasma will be mounted on the wall there is no where to hide the cables, I'm planning on drilling in from an adjoining room for the power supply but I can't really hide the SCART leads that way.

I've heard of upcoming wireless DVI/HDMI converters to do exactly what you're talking about, and they claim to do it at full resolution/speed within 10 feet or so IIRC. However, I've not seen anything like this actually available to buy yet.

A bit more info. (http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/news/article.php/3632356)

Thanks Mike,
I do own a couple of DigiSenders so I'll give them a go but I don't think they'll cope with HD very well.

I think that these wireless HDMI things are built for HD (over 400mbps I believe) so they should do HD fine.

Of course, I'm watching my nice HD TV with a standard analog cable signal which the provider degrades the quality of to entice people to "upgrade" to "digital cable" (at another $10/month + $5/box/month), so I cannot comment on them firsthand ;) Companies are so greedy to get another $5/month out of you around here it's amazing. Someday I'll have an actual HD signal though!
