View Full Version : Recommended RSS reader for Linux?

I'm fiddling (once again) with a Linux install and one of the things that I'm really missing from my Winbloze box is an RSS reader. I have never gotten into the web-based stuff but rather prefer something that has a changing icon to indicate unread feeds (ie. I use RSSBandit on Winbloze).

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a Linux RSS reader program?

Thanks,
Mike

Allright - no help from the forums, but maybe I can help someone else ;)

What I found that I like:

Liferea (http://liferea.sourceforge.net/) for Gnome.

Akregator (http://akregator.kde.org/) for KDE.

Both function similarly to RSS Bandit (http://www.rssbandit.org/), which I use on Winbloze.

I don't use Linux therefore I couldn't help you, but thanks for taking time to share those suggestions.

By the way, I use FeedDeomn on windows but the RSSBandit also looks good and I will give it a try.

Well, I do use Linux, but never use RSS reader.... don't feel the need for me (at least for now)
