I'm due to replace my PC in the next month or so, so far this beast is what I'm looking at getting:

http://www.cube247.co.uk/acatalog/5a-2aa.jpg (http://www.cube247.co.uk/acatalog/HerculesST6.html)

I reckon 3 screens will make working and browsing so much more fun. Other specs are:

AMD Athlon64 FX62 DUAL CORE AM2 - Free Upgrade If Purchased Before Friday 25/08/2006 - Worth over £400
2048MB DDRII 667 Corsair Memory - The World's Premium Memory!
600GB Seagate Data Storage - RAID Stripe - Ultimate Performance!
ATI / EQS Deluxe Motherboard
16x DVD Player - Fastest DVD ROM Available!
NEC DVD ReWriter ND4570 16x Dual Layer & Dual Format - The Best Drive In The World!
ATI Radeon 640MB PCI Express Triple Monitor Graphics!
Sony Floppy Drive
6 Channel Sound (5.1 Surround Sound)
12x USB2 Ports
Firewire
10/100 Ethernet LAN AdapterMidi
Tower CaseMicrosoft
Wireless Multimedia KeyboardMicrosoft
Wireless Optical MouseCreative
Inspire 5800 5.1 Speaker System
3 x 19" TFT Screens 8MS DVI & VGA - Ultra Fast & Stylish ScreensAll that for £1,649 seems expensive but a bargain for what you get, but I'd be happy to hear any other recommendations.

That looks pretty awesome, just because of the three screens and the 12 USB ports. Get it, get it!

Total overkill, just the way we like our gadgets.

600 Gb storage. How many blogs is that? ("purely work" my A$$);)

I have some experience to share in that department. Though on 3 x 15". It does make work (web developer at least) a lot easier and it does look very cool indeed.

That set-up is pretty bad-ass, makes me wonder about my Athlon 1400 machine from 5 years back. I haven't playes games for years but it probably sucks big time at the latest graphics. I envy you.

I've used dual screens for a few years now and at times now feel a third would be really useful. I don't think I could justify the cost if it was for just personal use but as I can buy it through my business and get tax relief on it it's a bit of a bargain.

The fact that it *can* play games is purely coincidental

the only time I have seen more monitorss for a single pc was in the movie "Swordfish" where Hugh Jackman uses 7 monitors to hack in to a US govermnets website.

Actually, come to think of it, why have 3, 7, or maybe 10 screens?

I guess all one need is just ONE screen.
Well, ONE large, gigantic screen, big enough to cover your cinema theatre, that's enough :P hehe... and you can just place your documents and programs all over that big gigantic screen.

in that case you need a twin tuner pip for your monitor

That is the setup that I have and to be honest, even though I am not a coder but more general webmaster, you soon get used to having 3 x 19" screens in front of you.

On the right I have my emails there running all day, to the left is itunes & paint shop pro X and the centre screen used for browsing, having the ablility to move between them rocks for me instead of constantly maximising/minimising programs/browsers. Like Al said, being tax deductable makes it a pretty cool business expense.

With the price of 19" screens nearing $100 now, it makes so much more sense to get multiples of those than to pay a ton for a single 21" or 24" for $1000. You could even stack them so there is a vertical panel above the middle one.

Holy cow... I'm drooling. I got a cheap E-machine and beefed it up with 2 gig of RAM and a great ATI grpahics card (the 512MB one) which required buying and installing a new power supply. Hey, the thing works and plays games just fine. But I wouldn't invite the neighbors to come gawk at it like I would if I owned that rig...

I got a 19 inch Sony flat screen (cost almost as much as the CPU at the time, they have really come down in price since I bought it :) ).

Yea, I'm stuck with a 19" LCD, but it's a nice one (Samsung). Too bad it's not widescreen.

That's a pretty swanky system you've got there. I'd definitely dig having that much screen space!

Nice setup *nods*
Only thing is, having 3 screens, you have 2 big lines of the monitors between all of the 3 screens, you know? will get a bit annoying..
I think i can only get 2 monitors with my graphics card..

That would only be annoying if I pretended it was one large screen but its not like if I watched a film I would have it showing across all 3, I have email on one, browser on one and image program on the left so it is more like having 3 computers doing 3 different things but having the luxury of sharing the hard drive and using one mouse.

2GB Ram , 600GBHDD  man this thing rocks, and the price is not that much i think seeing the features and performance.
Worth a buy!

Though it's still an incentive as part of the package, but frankly speaking.

Who else in here still uses floppy drive??

Right now im not a ATI fan and dont see a need for more than 2 screens that i use now...

Every app i use I make full use of both screens and never have a need for a third and compleatly belive having a third would be counter productive...

Photoshop
Maya
Shake
Finalcut
Premier
After Effects
Pro Tools
Writign a papper
ect

I have a canvas or my workspace on my left and all my tools and research on the right and all ways have room to spare

If im playing wow im 1600x1200 every thing turned up window mode but maximized on my left monitor Firefox open with alakazam and other websites and IRC open in the other monitor. in fact im on wow right now :)

Reason i say a third monitor would be counterproductive is that i cant see anything that i could put in there that i dont all ready have in my main 2 monitors... and if there was anything it would be frilly BS stuff that i dont need up thats just a extra destraction from what im doing.

I would also build my own system....

Id go get the asus Crosshair motherboard nice corsair memory 2gb's or more nice nvidia card(s) and drop in a sweet dual core amd proc and drop it into a nice lian-li case mmmm
