This device has been in the works for a couple of years, and I finally saw a production model in June of 06 at a national educational technology conference. (There is a updated version coming out later this year:

This mini DLP projector contains LEDs and has a "bulb" life of 10,000 hours. There is an optional battery back available, and it is for sale now in the $650 range. Instant on, instant off, no heat, and a short-distance throw!

That does look cool, it's not going to be long until we have projectors in our mobile phones. One side of the phone you'll have a laser keuboard projected and on the other a projector for your screen.

Thats very cool, low on lux naturally for now I guess at 250 lux, I have an "older" projector that has a noisy fan and takes a while to power down, that's really good battery life and very small for what it is.

This thing is extremely cool. Now if it would only go down in price...

Interesting.., but my concern is that what would be so important that you would want to share it with everybody there and there? seeing it fits in your pocket. Another one of man's useless technology, oh well, guess evolution has to happen someway.
But, if someone finds a great use for it, like cure cancer, that would be nice. [lol]
