My friend bought a 75mW laser pointer from www.dragonlasers.com

Great laser pointer but he wont stop talking about it. Maybe i should by a 125mW laser. That would show him hahahahahaha Why are the nasty things in life so much fun!!!

You Got a wickedlaser laser pointer for free, arrggghhhh. I thought i was getting a good deal with i finally took the plunge, followed my friend and bought a cheaper dragon laser laser pointer.

Apart from being an administrator for a gadget website, is there any way i get an expensive high power laser pointer for free???

We have 3 more to giveaway, we'll be running some contests here and the main blog shortly. The next contest will be were readers can submit their own gadget reviews and the best ones will win a prize. Prizes for that contest include a Wicked Laser, Beer Belly and 2GB Titanium Flash Drive (once I finish writing the review for that I'll launch the contest).

They probably sent in free stuff for promotions.

Most sellers do all kinds of stuff to promote their websites. Dragonlasers said their developing their site www.dragonlasers.com and invited me (and all other dragonlasers customers i think) to submit pictures etc for cash coupons. Same idea, free stuff for promotions.

The only laser pointer I have came from a pet store. One of our cats loves to chase it. I'm careful about avoiding pointing it in any eyes, of course.

Laser pointers for cats and dogs are great for up to around 10mW. After that, mistakes can damage their eyes.

What's the fun in that? Instant immolation is the only way to go - and in that regard, a 125mW is surely the way to go.

Do Laser pointers come in Yellow?

They do, but generally are hard to find and expensive. Their price is just a little lower than the blue 473nm lasers. The reason is that alignment of the optics is alot more complicated and their output is only about 1% of the pump power ,(at best), which calls for a much higher power pump diode....not to mention that the crystals are much more expensive. Green 573nm lasers are the next in line, but still alot cheaper because they have an out put power of about 20% and the optics are much easier to align....So there you have it, laser 101. ;)
