I would use my PSP in the bath but about using cellphone I am not sure .I am not a science whiz and but I am just wondering how can there be sound inside a vacuum.
I wouldn't of thought there'd be a vacuum and if there was the plastic would touch the gadget so the sound would still get out. I'm not a science whizz either though :)
I think it's a cool idea, sound seems to be a problem though, as I'd only want to use it with my PSP in the shower!
Seems like to much of a hassle for my phone or DS.
I'm sure the HardCore gamers would just love those. It's a pretty neat idea, but I don't think I'd be using one. But then again, it would be nice to just relax and play a game or two while taking a bath... haha.
I might use one if I wanted music or something in the shower, I doubt I'd be making any calls though especially considering I don't have to make that many important calls :).

Hehe, I don't see me using one...but why not? I imagine my DS will be even more fun in a bubble bath. Talking on a cell phone while bathing or showering would be quite awkward, I imagine.

Not really my thing. In the shower, I have one focus: getting clean. I don't need to take calls. That would just add to my shower time and waste water.

I am still a little hesitant about whether or not these things would actually protect the devices completely. I'd hate to try it out and then have the device get flooded. If I did use it, I'd probably use the DS Lite in a pool or jacuzzi or something.
Regarding the sound aspect, the bag probably cant create a perfect vacuum. As a result, there will be air molecules that will resonate through the bag and out to your ear. Plus, sound is just waves right? If we can transmit waves to space, we can transmit sound waves through a plastic bag.

I think we should not do that becuase they get heated up easily and in rainy season moisture problems.

The last time I was at the barber shop, I heard a guy complaining about how he broke his phone. When asked how, he said that he was on the toilet text messaging and playing a game when it dropped in between his legs and into log infested waters. For him, I think these might be a good idea.
These could come in handy especially when it's raining and you're jogging or if you snowboard.

I was watching something on TV, I believe it was G4, and they put a mp3 player, cell phone, and a digital camera in the bags then strapped this dude to the hood of a car and ran him through the car wash. When he got out all of the devices were still working and dry. So it works.

That doesn't make any sense.

Oh yeah, there really aren't any science wizzs around here.
1) the bag can't create vaccum - it would take a strong pump to achieve that;
2) sound is waves, so it would wave through the plastic bag aswell, allthough flexible plastic would loose a big part of it;
3) if the bags are totally sealed, i can believe they would hold in a car wash;
Do have in mind, that if you put, let's say, a cellphone in it, and the air is moistury, some moisture will get in. The plastic bag acts as a greenhouse, so the moisture will turn into vapour, but since the bag is sealed tight, it will just condensate into one big drop of water. It can't do much, but short-circuiting a button or two is possible.

i see no reason why you would take anything that's worth sumthing to you into the bath. risks outweigh the benifits

I don't think the product was made with that intention. When I was in college I always got nervous that my mp3 player would get soaked in my backpack when it was raining. So it has other uses outside of tubs not to mention the people that need to take their electronic equipment in situations that they might get wet, ie. nature walks. From what I hear you can barter ipods with bears and cell phones with the snakes.
