Well, after the "introduce yourself really" thread we know real names of the forum members. Now how about we tell what do our nicknames mean/where are they from? There are always some with great stories.

humm .... means Me or Myself. Its a hindi language word.
I used it jlt.. and now i like the username. :D

damn, i completely forgot myself.
My nickname comes from the times when i was new to computers. I was taking an afterschool activity, programming basics. We were tought using LOGO, a very high-level language. The full name of the language sounds like Commenskium Logo or something. That's where i got the cl letters. Now, if you would google this language and read about it for a bit, you would know that everything's done by bossing around a small turttle. vėžlys is lithuanian for turtle (i had to remove all lithuanian letters, because i couldn't use them for example, to create a new mail account).
I hardly remember a few commands of that language, but the name just stuck to me. So why not.

I have this nick for so long... But it kind of speak for itself doesn't it?
I usually use Shwaza as a nickname. Shwaza is a word I made up a few years ago and it was what I called my first website. It doesn't really mean anything it's just a cool word.

Well... the first part of my s/n is azn which is short for asian. The number 1 is because i was the first one to know things b4 anyone else in my family or friends.Art is because I like to do digital imaging.

I just made it up one day because I don't like to put numbers in my name like on AIM or my email address. If you ever see a Hoomamooma somewhere else on the net it is probably me (or someone who read that and wanted to prove me wrong so they stole my name and used it somewhere else).

I use my first name - Tiago - as a username too, most people don't know it.

Well Paz was my nickname at school; short for Parry.
It's also spanish for "peace" apparently, and the world needs a bit more of that.

That's true but I don't normally use Allan. I've got a bit of a Northern UK accent so people think I'm saying Owen instead of Allan which was kind of annoying.
I used to live in a place called Carlton which conincidentally is my surname this made ordering a taxi a bit of a nightmare.
Me: Can I get a taxi please
Taxi operator: What name is it
Me: Allan
Annoying Taxi operator: Where are you going to Owen?
Me: No the names Allan
Very annoying Taxi operator: What was that Owen?
Me: Never mind
or it would go like:
Me: Can I get a taxi please
Taxi operator: Where are you going
Me: Town
Taxi operator: Where are you now
Me: Carlton
Taxi operator: What name is it
Me: Carlton
Annoying Taxi operator: Yes but what name it is
Me: The name is Carlton

Here's the etymology of my nickname:
Four = reference to my favorite band, Fab Four ---> Beatles
Bear = the nickname I was given in college, based on an old screenname (don't ask)
It's also a nifty play on words!
