Hello all,
Is anyone out there a fan of the Killer Instinct Arcade Games. I love them.
I spent a good chunk of my childhood playing arcade games. I'd travel all over London playing games.
I remember playing Streetfighter 1 in North Acton for the first time. The arcade was called Slots. Streetfighter 2 came out about a month later and I remember the hype leading up to it's release. Their were no disappointments.
Slots sadly closed. My friends and I were devastated, but we picked ourselves up and ventured up to Trocodero in Piccadilly. We heard through the grapevine that this was the biggest arcade in London. This was a long journey to a place we' never been before. There was lots of anticipation.
Once we'd arrived it was like heaven on earth. We'd never heard so much arcade game noise before. It was great.
It was then that I heard the distintive noises coming from the Killer Instinct 1 arcade machine. King Combo, Killer Combo, Combo Breaker!
It's a great fighting game with amazing characters, combos, sound effects and music. It is possible to pull off over 80 hit combos!
Anyway, enough of my nostalga trip.
Is anyone out there a fan of this great game.?
Do you have some stories about your arcade trips
Is anyone out there knowledgable about arcade emulators?
I'd love to be able to play an emulator of this game on PC. I know you can play a version on the SNES but its not got the same presents as the arcade.
I saw a Killer Instinct 1 Jamma Board for sale on Ebay but I haven't a clue how you put all these bits together to make a home arcade system.
Someone please help, I want to play Killer Instinct 1 arcade at home. Any ideas or advise.
