Well, blogging is easier. If you mispell or suddenly change your mind about a sentence, you don't need to start the entire article over again. +, it's not so hard on your site's bandwith.
I think its more than just that... think you can just have more of a image unless you have that uber radio voice... Its the mask of the internet you can truely come off how you chose too and the person on the other end sees you as you want them too vs having your actual voice it does change that to a extent.

Oh come on. You can edit the voice a bit. And really, do you think people really listen to the voice?
Though you're right if we're talking about stuff like spelling problems.
Yea but you can tell when some one edits their voice to a extent plus trust me there is some people you just cant stand to listen to and you know it..

My brother bought me some software kit thing for making and publishing your own podcast but I haven't gotten around to making it. Maybe you'll see (or hear) mine soon.
you really dont need software though,,, blah

Yeah but it makes it a lot easier with a button to publish it in the same program you record and add effects in.

I am too self-conscious to do such a thing.
see thats my point... ur not the only one im sure thats why typed blogging is more popular id think because it allows you to set up a image of any kind you want. Hell you can be 6 diffrent people
With one person, it's easy to write everything down, but reading a transcript of two/three/four people talking wouldn't be nearly as good as an audio version.
see that is a good point too the all interaction between people is a major plus for podcasting but stright reporting can be boring over podcasting i mean if i want the news ill turn on the radio why bother downloading a mp3 to my ipod.. think thats a bit much.. I mean could you imagen a podcast version of /. omg /wrists
