I have an old microwave in my basement, that I really want to do some cool stuff with.... grape plasma, etc. Unfortunately, I don't know whether it's leaking or not. If anyone has any ideas on how to build a microwave tester, I'd appreciate a schematic. If not, maybe a link to someone who sells them?

Some of the older fuzzbuster radar detectors were very prone to being set off when passing any eatery that used microwave ovens for cooking. It might be worth investigating

Also contact Cincinnatti Microwave. They make the worlds best radar detectors, and microwave detectors have been around a long time, so they shouldn't be classified.( they do a lot of work for the military). I have no clue as to what kind of money you are talking about, however.

Ha, I didn't think of using a radar detector. I think even a 'hot wheels' speed detector could be hacked to help with this.

I like the idea of a DIY microwave detector.
