This is what I consider as technology topic...
I had lots of relatives AND friends who died of all kinds of cancer... so when I looked into it, I found out that I could help by "donating" my PC computing time to F@H (http://folding.stanford.edu). You basically donate the PC time to crunch the data on your computer.

I've been a member for a year almost now... please consider doing it if you haven't already...

I am but i'm running under a different s/n. My s/n is Viet8Saigon on it. I like how they have a Vietnamese version of the website. :D

Missed this thread before, sorry.

I lost my late grandmother to cancer, it spread through her entire body like wildfire. I used to work with a guy that had his PC searching for martians when he wasn't using it (which was most of the time) but this sounds a lot more important and beneficial.

I lost my grandpa to lung cancer... my cousin to leukemia, my uncle to liver cancer... and a friend to stomach cancer. :(

Since I'm no doctor, I feel that F@H is the next best thing I can do to help... I hope you guys do too...

I've lost 3 of my 4 grandparents to cancer (hopefully it isn't genetic!). This sounds like a really neat project, I'll take a look into it.

Please do! You can set however you want in terms of CPU usage... very non-instrusive...

Hmm, is there any way to make it just work while I'm not at the computer? It seems to be using all of my CPU while I'm still at the computer.

It will auto throttle down when you use it. I leave it running even when I play Counter-Stirke: Source and it throttles it down...

I once downloaded their software, but I never really understood it and got it to work properly... Any info where can I read how to configure it?
