n00b alert.... n00b alert....

BUILD YOUR OWN BOX... seriously Alienware now DELL is over priced and honestly over hyped BS go look at my other thread about rebranding of laptops THEY DO IT...

That system is subpar compared what you can build for the same price...

Considering top of the line you pay about 90% more then 2nd to top of the line... and top of the line *extreme* which is trumped by something in a month anyway.

Best thing for an extreme pc is to get 2nd best and buy two XD

pft i still say build your own you end up with better quality hardware if you know what your buying that is.

Case is right - building your own PC is cheaper than just buying one that's already made. And, of course, you have the ability to choose all the parts as you want them to be.

But Case, you forgot 1 important detail - a great deal of people can't assemble a PC on themselves. So when you're giving advices, always add the magic word GOOGLE.

Building your own is not all ways cheaper... when speaking of ALIENWARE yes... but its usualy more about u get better hardware... If you spent 3k in any online store vs 3k building it you get much better quality if you know what your buying..

you dont have to even build your own if you know where you buy your parts from...

most part suppliers are happy to build it for FREE. gasp

but still building your own is as simple as plugging in a cord into an electrical socket.
