Looking over various threads I thought perhaps it would be helpful for the mods to put together a list of what goes where...

for instance I put a thread in Misc tech for gmail then after thinking about it I thought perhaps it would have been better suited for computers - so when I asked about gdrive I put it there - on the other hand maybe it did belong in misc tech...

Also I saw a thread about taking apart a Dell Axim 30 -which is a PDA in DIY - that is a PDA - wouldn't that fall under Computers or would it fall under DIY since it's tearing it apart and fixing it? Or even under mobile communications?

Just a question as to what might go where and how...

Thanks for the suggestion, I've moved it to suggestions and feedback :)

Generally if it doesn't fit in any other tech forums it goes in misc tech.

The Dell Axim one is probably more about DIY so I'd of posted it where it is.

We will be reviewing all forums next week to see if some should split or moved. It's difficult with a new forum knowing what members will want to talk about.

I had a bit of help from my friends :)

This is my fourth forum, 1 is going steady, another is growing slowly but it's a very tight niche, this one is growing amazingly and another bombed because I launched at the wrong time.

It's all a learning experience, I've learnt so much from my mistakes (again) launching this one.

When you have the traffic and can get a bit of publicity. It was features on sites like Gizmodo that really helped these forums take off.

Ah, but you're doing much better than I am in terms of number of (quality) posts :)

Hey thankz! :)
I don't want to use the forums as an IM talk place so I try to make my messages worth it. :D
