Adapters turn home electrical outlets into local area network access points
System is expandable to up to 16 total adapters
Send data quickly and safely over existing powerlines
Create a whole-house local area network using your home's existing electrical wiring. The Panasonic PLC Bridge system comes with a pair of adapters that turn your powerlines into network lines, so you can have online and network access from any power outlet in your home. Especially convenient for laptop users, you'll be able to connect to the Internet from any power outlet. Two adapters are included with this kit, but you can add up to 14 more adapters (sold separately) to your network, setting up with the press of a button.
Unlike setting up an Ethernet network, you don't need to run cables from room to room, and this system eliminates the dead areas common to wireless networks. Communication is comfortably fast (up to 190 Mbps) and highly safe: You can confirm the speed of each adapter's connection by simply pressing a button, and data sent and received over the PLC network employs AES 128-bit encryption.
There's no tricky installation or complicated settings. Just take the adapter out of the box and plug it into the power outlet. Each adapter also has a LAN jack, which connects each adapter to your broadband router, hub, computer, and peripherals. Connecting adapters to network devices will integrate your adapters with your home network. LAN cables are sold separately.
