The 2.4GHz Wireless 4-Channel Color Camera System comes with a single color video surveillance camera (330 lines of resolution, 1 lux, 55° lens) but this expandable wireless system can support up to four cameras (additional cameras (http://www.smarthome.com/asp/cl/cl.asp?SK=RSS200511&P=79933c.html) are sold separately). The manufacturer states a 700 ft. range but as with all wireless transmitters, where it will be installed plays a key factor in signal range.
Connect the receiver to your television or monitor, and maximize the range by rotating and pivoting the antennas on the transmitter and receiver toward each other. The 2.4GHz Wireless 4-Channel Color Camera System's receiver can connect to up to four cameras and switch among them manually or automatically, dwelling on each for a user-adjustable period of time. You can also add another receiver to monitor the cameras from more than one location in your home or business.
Two AC power adapters are included to power the camera and receiver. The camera can also run on eight AA batteries (sold separately) for up to 3.5 hours in the event of a power failure.
