View Full Version : Wicked Laser Discount Code
Our friends over at Wicked Lasers (http://wickedlasers.com/) have given us a discount code for all readers. So if you fancy getting your self a wicked laser user the code CGRULEZ2006 for a 5% discount :)
They have also offered us a few more cool Nexus laser prizes (http://wickedlasers.com/products.php?content=extreme) that we will be using in up and coming contests .
Gah, those lasers put those dinky things I win at the beach to shame.
Bit expensive, and I don't think I quite meet the age requirement. Oh well. :P
Wow a whopping 5% listen if your spending that much on a laser to start with the 5% means nothing to you ya know what i mean?

It's probably enough to cover the upgrade from standard to 2 day shipping. :D
Next day air is pretty much out of the question (unfortunately :))
look at me jump for joy...
That's gratitude for you, I get you a discount code, a load more free lasers to give away and what do I get, gees.
that discount is 5% less than what i get as a student discount...

and yes i could decide to not express my opinion but you see i decided to be opinionated and express it.... just like you dont have to read it...

Well said!
I'd rather pay 95% over 100%, as any intelligent person would. ;)
well like i said earlier if you have enugh money to buy a laser pointer to burn stuff with at 400 a pop and up you probably dont care about the 5% to start with
I'd rather save $20 than nothing at all so thinks it's a cool discount, yeah I'd like it to be 10%+ but I'm not complaining.

Umm call me cynical but i think the reason why people promote discount codes from wickedlasers is for an affiliate program called wicked bucks. Every time a code is used, the person who owns that code gets a % of the sale as wicked bucks. Wicked bucks can then be used by the promoter to by wickedlaser products.
I personally prefer dragonlasers at www.dragonlasers.com I got a 125mW laser pointer for around $150 lower than wickedlasers and it is awesome. And no, i don't have a discount code so i get no personal benefit.
laserglow at www.laserglow.com also have discounted prices and once again no promo code :P
Thanks diodedealer.
I do participate in a fair few affiliate programs but I never realised that Wicked Lasers had one. They gave me the discount code to share here because I asked, if they also have an affiliate program which they never told me about then thats a bit annoying.

Al
Check out this thread from lasercommunity http://www.lasercommunity.com/viewtopic.php?t=8205&highlight=wicked+bucks
It will explain clearly how you and quite a few other people have been duped and to an extent, used.
One reason i like dragonlasers is cos they are new and don't appear to have a ruthless corporate culture like some of the larger more succesful online sellers.
Interesting reading. The affiliate programs I use and promote pay in cash rather than discount vouchers (laser discount vouchers don't feed me). I don't think Wicked Lasersd have duped me, the relationship CG and I have with them is they pay us for advertising (probably $1000 or so over the last year) and have also sent us 4 lasers as review pieces or competition prizes (I still have 3 to give away), I'm a bit bemused to why they didn't mention they had an affiliate program (but then I wouldn't be interested in earning Wicked Bucks (or whatever they were called)).
the better question would be who makes a better laser

Good question.
Up until recently both dragonlasers and wickedlasers were selling identical laser pointers. Same specifications, same shell and according to forums, same manufacturer.
So looks their lasers are equal in quality.
Wicked has a new version out that has a wider beam with better divergence but less burning ability than the same power dragonlasers.
Laserglow may have some better lasers but i can't comment cos i'm not familiar with their models. Out of my price range :(

Forget wicked bucks. What is more important than money? Sex and the love of a good woman. Hmmm , ok apart from that? Fame!!!
Dragonlasers has just given me two seconds of fame by putting pictures of my 125mW laser cannon on their website. Check it out at http://www.dragonlasers.com/testimonials
I love the video by the Turkish guy where a balloon sees its buddy get lasered and makes a dash for freedom.
Which one is yours diodedealer?

Al,
Diode Dealer is the owner of dragon, we caught spamming with many proxy accounts on lasercommunity.com. His IP should be from AU.

Any comments to that one diodedealer?
I've got nothing against marketing when it's done in a misleading way it really does put a company in a bad light.

Hi Wicked, i'm very flattered that you consider me to be the owner of an online company. Unfortunately i happen to have a much more humble station in life.
If this is the way you deal with any one who writes favourably about Dragonlasers or buys one of their products, i suggest you try to be a little more open minded and less agressive in your support for your name sake wickedlasers.
In the end, all sellers have their strengths and weaknesses. People are welcome to their preferences and affiliations. I have mine which are obvious and you have yours which are also obvious.

5% is 5% guys, no need to complain, you're right!
Not complaining just pointing out that %5 of a highly priced item is pointless to those that can afford this product normally if you are buying a green laser starting at 150 bucks and need to go out of your way to save %5 than you are proly a compulsive shopper. %5 does not make any of them affordable by any means. 150 bucks is the cheapest green laser. %5 = 7.50 discount you don't get much when S&H is $18.99 i just don't see it as a "deal". Would be more of a deal if it was just free S&H at that point.

Hey guys, lets all pay 100%... because we can.
...who cares if it isn't much money. People aren't buying the lasers because they get a 5% discount... the price is still higher than most would probably want to spend.
It is merely an added "Thanks" to those who have the code. It isn't a super great amount of money - but it isn't intended to be that way. If they wanted to get all these customers, they would have more incentive - or a "LIMITED TIME ONLY BLOWOUT SALE."
If you're not buying a Wicked Laser, then hush up. Most sane people would prefer saving every penny necessary. Wicked Lasers loses a little chunk of profit from these deals... and it is generous of them to offer anything.
Wicked Lasers hasn't done many people wrong - and they provide lasers which are certified and guaranteed to function at their advertised specs - minimum. Sometimes I seriously contemplate buying one, and then remember I haven't the cash to afford that luxury. I would appreciate the 5% key, over absolutely nothing.

to repeat what i said... ITs rather simple... If you need to use the 5% u shouldnt be wasting ur money on a laser... and you seem to be the prime example... those who have the money to waste on this would not care about the 5% and i know four people of witch who knew about the 5% code and were like to hell with that i gotta go get the code type it in let me just check out... 5% isn't even free shipping... they are not loosing anything as far as revenue... unless their markup is only 5% profit? then WL would be out of bizz...

I am not going to poke fun at your grammar, as English may not be your first language... but it is very hard to read your posts.
If you need to use the 5% u shouldnt be wasting ur money on a laser...
That is your opinion - and you're entitled to it. But it is based entirely flawed logic. It is that you're saying "people who have the money for a laser, don't care about coupons."
Saving any money, is a good thing - no matter the price. Will it influence the purchase? Probably not. But if I am spending that much money, I wouldn't mind having an extra ten bucks to spend on something else.
Im saying more along the lines of if your spending money on a laser to play around with that costs 200 and all the way up to 2000 saving 10 bucks is not that high of a priority and not a driving force for those who will throw the money away on some thing like that.. I am speaking from experience watching people who do this kind of crap all day.
I watched some one drop 800 bucks on a desktop wooden catapult for his office to goof off with between conference calls and had the option for 10% discount and even after being pointed out to him that he could save that kind of money it was just not worth the time of putting in a code on a extra page and quicker to just check out...
If you look at the demographic the majority of people buying these things as toys dont care and 5% is nothing to them its not even loose pocket change.
But the demographic that will care about the 5% probably shouldnt be spending that much on a toy when they don't have the money to throw around when 10 bucks or so means so much to them.
Bottom line is that if you care so much about saving 5 to 10 dollars on such a expensive toy and thats what we are talking about a toy. Than it is not that smart to spend the money on such a expensive toy.
But if this is for professional use and you have a legitimized reason to buy this thing than its a write off and even than for the write off reasons i would purposely not use the coupon code.
