I am a one-man-show and here is a Press Release for my latest device: the "Haunted" USB cable. (hauntedusbcable.com)

It's a prank/annoyance device that actually DOESN'T make the victim want to break it in half when it's found! It (hopefully) just makes for a good story.

It is a normal looking USB plug and cable fragment that can hide in plain sight when plugged and tucked into a computer's existing plugs and cables. But it contains hidden electronics that cause keyboard-like malfunctions.

Randomly (up to 30 minutes between events) it will toggle the Caps Lock, NumLock, insert an extra space, and more.

Once someone finds the device (which looks like a normal USB plug with a damaged cable) it should be good for a head-scratch or two, even from technical types.

They are available for online ordering, and wholesale pricing is also available.

PS. For those readers who are technically-inclined, additional information is available. The hardware and software are both open-sourced, so you can make your own should you wish.
