Ok, clearly, we all love mobile technology. That's why where here. But sometimes, there are features phones have that are just annoying, superfluous, etc. Which ones drive you nuts?

I personally am really bothered by ringtones. I have a ringtone that sounds exactly like a phone ringing. In my opinion, that's what phones should sound like. I don't need to hear Shakira every time someone calls me.

My annoying feature would be vibration mode bcoz it is so powerful. Everytime I keep my phone on the table , it is in vibration mode and someone calls and I am not there and the phone automatically ends up on the floor.

I agree that ringtones are annoying also. Sometimes, I swear the user picks the most annoying tone possible, then sets it on the loudest setting, argh.

Another thing I found annoying are those "wait tones"- songs you hear when you wait for someone to pick up the phone.

Rigntones are ok as long as there not super long ringtones. Which in that case it is super annoying!!!

The Off Switch, I hate it when people give you their number but forget to mention they never turn their phone on.

Lol, that sounded funny. :D

I am relatively new to having a mobile phone, so I haven't found anything yet to annoy me about them.

I get annoyed with my husbands puch to talk when it is on a certain setting. It has this setting that when you text it "guesses" what work you are typing and finishes the word for you....but if you are typing something else......pain in the rump IMO.

The most annoying thing is when bits of them stop working properly after about 13 months. Battery life starts to get shorter and shorter and then some of the keys stop working.

Johan

Mad4 hit the nail on the head. The single most annoying feature which isn't even just IMO, IMO it's fact: Mobiles are built to break in 12 months. It's clever because why would you build stuff to last a lifetime? it would only mean you won't sell one again to that customer.

No reception is also very annoying. Or those stupid text alerts that you have voice mail. Meaning you find 200 text alerts because of one voicemail left when you were away for the weekend and didn't bring your phone.

When they work for more than 12 months will the companies survive? ;)

The most annoying feature of the new Blackberries is the combination keyboards / autocompletion software. I used to type about 30-40 WPM with the full Blackberry thumb board, now I'm lucky to get a 10 word sentence typed out in under 2 minutes. Foreign names are especially annoying. Try typing Heena Mehta for example...

The first vibrating phone I ever bought scarred the bejesus out of me... I laid it on a glass table in the living room, went to bed, and it went off at around 2:00am and sounding like someone breaking in and jackhammering in my house... I about had a heart attack.

cellphone users are by far more annoying than any cellphone

Funny Joke I heard Yesterday - Next time you see a cell phone user talking loudly into his/her cell phone, tell them that the conversation sounds interesting and do they mind if you talk to the person on the other side. When they ask you if you could give them some privacy, you respond "No. That would be impossible, this is a public place."

Nice, it's like the Sienfeld answer to phone solicitors, tell them you are busy and can you have their home number so you can call them back later, when they say no, that would be an invasion of their privacy, then you say "Yeah, exactly" and hang up.

My PPC 6700 wll dial the last numbeer callled at the slightest presure on the leather "holster". I probably waste a lot of minutes every month because of this.

I sometimes activate the "lock" feature, but it's notreally convenient to "unlock".

The most annoying thing to me would be the Ringbacks... aka "Wait Tones" Some people choose the most annoying songs as their ringbacks...

Whats the phone model?

I have no idea what the phone model is but I meant to say push to talk......not puch. LOL!

It acts like a walkie talkie with anyone else who has a push to talk. I don't know what company makes the phone he has but he uses it for work.

The only network providers that has it would be boost mobile and Cingular. I don't think Verizon has any phones that are Push-To-Talk.

All I know is that we are in Saskatchewan Canada and we did not have these phones until recently so the service we were getting was out of Ontario.

When my husband gets home from work I'll have to ask him what phone it is and who the provider is.

It depends though on which restaurant your at... Some places are loud so it's hard to notice. The thing that bothers me is the beeping from them..

I don't seem to understand how voicemail is annoying? It's actually convenient since you can leave messages for people.

Having to listen to that recording then entering my PIN, etc. I wish everyone would just send me an SMS instead.

I love my ringbacks gosh darnit - I pick cool songs!!! *just grins*

But I agree - cell phone users are much more annoying then the cellphones themselves- if you can't talk and drive at the same time - get the heck off the road- that's why they make bluetooth headsets for-

Oh and working retail... when you get to the cash register - hang up and call the person back (am sure is the same with waiters and such) - nothing ruder then a person on their cell while you're trying to check them out!

The most annoying feature :( Well it has to be battery power. After every two three days i have to charge my cell phone. Even if i have to travel i got to carry the charger along. And you all know what happens when you're enjoying your vacation probably on a beach or hillside and your mobile just gives up after flashing the message "Low Battery"
That is most annoying for me

Ok you want to know??? I got one.. Tro700p i have a VZW version... sprint uses the built in software to let you use it as a EVDO modem on a laptop no adional anything just standard window DUN...

VZW needs you to install thier retarted unstable not so compatable with anything but XP Wireless Access Manager... Why? i dont know it dont work so why not use what works that PALM designed?

Guess thats my rant.. when these phoen vendors take a phone and add thier own app or software feature that exists and all ready works but replace it with thier own branded non working buggy one.. OMG KILL
