I've just written about the m300 (http://www.coolest-gadgets.com/20060901/m300-worlds-first-truly-mobile-gsm-phone-watch/) mobile phone watch. Does anybody think these may catch on, I can't see it as holding the watch to your mouth and ear just seems a bit odd. It can be used with a bluetooth headset but that then means you've still got to carry something else around with you.

I'm still going to ask them for a review model (possible competition prize) though :).

This is cool. Extremely portable. Combined with bluetooth, this would be a great thing to have for anyone that uses mobile phones just simply for calling.

But 500$ is a robery in daylight!

Portable yes, useable I'm not so sure. The price reflects it being new technology, if there is demand I'd expect the price to plummet.

Naaa i wouldnt use it. I could see a tracking device in a watch or other features besides just time but not a phone. Maybe a emergency call out? Like a personal alarm or panic button but not a phone. I would feel so dumb talking to my wrist lol.

I don't think I would use it either. But I live in a very small town and it would look weird if you were the only one with something like this. Other people would not get it.

If I would use it with a bluetooth headset it wouldn't be a problem at all. It strikes me as something 007 or Charlie's Angels would use, or maybe someone going for a trek. Not for everyday people, though, especially when one can have a mobile phone and PDA in one device.
