RSS bots

Ok i keep notcing more and more RSS bots... yea ok RSS feeds but why? I hate the bots i want to hear from the forum members not some ones RSS feeds if i want to read the RSS feed than let me subscribe to the RSS why force feed it and give the false impression that the forum is busier than it really is?

I dont bother reading the RSS bot pots and i just end up sifting trough the forum to see if theres new posts by an actual member and its anoying

My vite is nuke the bots or least put a RSS feed box on the site because bots = gay

There are only two RSS bots and one is on pre-mod so you will only see posts that we think have value. I'd suggest if you see a post by a bot (which is pretty obvious) you just ignore it. If bot posts ever out number human posts (which they don't by a long shot at the moment) they'll all go on pre-moderation.

Yea but look at the section only reason it dont out number human posts and its DAM close is because of me.... if i stoped posting new threads in there it would be 80% RSS feed bots...

Case, I think it is great that you post new threads. I like to hear what REAL people think as well.

But the RSS bots do serve a purpose: They get new stuff under our attention as soon as it gets posted elsewhere.

This forum is only a baby, still. So member posts will increase over time. And the bot posts will help! The more topics CG gets indexed for in the SERPS, the more members will come...

As Al said, ignore the bot posts if you're not interested. I only read the good stuff anyway!

Yea but i havnt seen one real New thing posted yet... smarthome is just over priced old garbage... cant speak for the newest edition yet...
