BMW 330d, my kind of performance car!

I read on a BMW 330d (http://uk.cars.yahoo.com/car-reviews/car-and-driving/bmw-330d-1004899.html)recently...

What is typical with BMW is that it's a very fine sports four door. 231 bhp with turbocharged 3 L V6, this baby runs on diesel!! So in addition to 0-60 mph in 6 seconds, it keeps up the freakin' impressive 43.5 mpg!! :eek:

Wow... blow away your competition AND get to conserve fuel!! Very nice indeed... what's even nicer is that it only costs about $2000 more than 330i.

However, it is only available currently in Europe. Let's hope that this kind of goodness comes to us in US as well!

Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. I had a 2001 325i and traded it off for a small SUV (the 325 wouldn't hold anything bigger than a shoebox and I ordered it with the fold-down seats). Of course, with gas prices being what they are, I miss the 325 and I always miss the quality design (it's amazing how American car companies really drop the ball in the last 10 yards).

Unfortunately, I have expensive tastes in cars (always have) and don't have the income to drive one and not feel over-protective of it all the time.

43.5mpg is very impressive for that sort of performance. If it didn't cost £30K I'd be tempted but at the moment my next car is going to have to be in the £5K bracket.

[Case]

Now that we are talkin about cars :)

I want very badly a a Mini cooper S thats 168 HP stock... spend 3k or less on a aafter market super charger kit that jumps it up to 400HP!!! that alone do the math 2678 lbs @ 400 HP the body to weight ratio is nuts with about 2k worth of aditional aftermarket under the hood mods you can push it to near 600hp... welcome to the SPEED DEAMON... Ive seen a Mini Cooper with these mods and kept up not beat it but kept up effortlessly with a lamborghini...

Death trap with that kind of power to weight ratio but OMG sexy for the price mark with that kind of power...

Now get this... buddy of mine drives for the movies and what not out in Cali he does tons of stunt racing and he tells me itswell known in the industry right now that the mini is the most well balanced car out of the factory with out modding it so you can easily jump and do menuvers with it easily without having ot counter balance the car.
