View Full Version : Unlocking Mobile Phones?
My current mobile (K750i) is with Orange and I think it will only work with Orange SIM cards. Is there an easy way I can unlock it to work with any SIM?

if it is postpaid connection then it wont be locked , if it is prepaid then there is a possibility that it can be locked.
What you can do is try putting a new SIM and check if it works. if it doesnt then try one of this

Thanks. If post paid means it's on a contract then yes it is. I'll borrow a SIM off a friend and give it a try.

For some, if it's within the same network, i.e. Orange, then you might still be able to use the new sim card (from Orange). But if it's a different network, chances are rather slim.
Yeah I know Orange SIMS work in it, not sure about different Networks though and I'll likely be changing. Everybody I asked if I could borrow their card today just happened to be with Orange

Postpaids or Contract phones wont have their phones locked because you have a contract with them. For prepaid phones , to keep making the customer come back the phones are locked.

Oh funny... Overseas (I live outside of the States) the phones don't all work that way. Once you buy a phone (at least, I think this is how it works, I've never really experimented) you can put any SIM card into any phone. I don't think any come locked. Strange.

I think you have to check with the operator, whenever I see phones getting locked I have only found it to be unlocked by the operator only. I guess you have to ask help from them, doing somethink on your own can prove to be troublesome.
