How Many RSS Subscribers does CG Have?

RSS subscribers is one stat that I've never monitored, Google Analytics doesn't cover it and AWStats only displays hits which is astronomical due to the same RSS readers hitting the feed every few minutes.

I've just switched over to FeedBurner which should give me accurate stats to how many subscribers we have. I know we have 139 subscribers via Bloglines but that's hopefully the tip of the iceberg (fingers crossed).

So for a fun contest how many RSS subscribers do you think CG has, simply post a reply here stating how many subscribers you think we have. I'll announce the winner close of play (GMT) Friday which should be enough time to get an approximate idea. No prizes on this one, it's just for fun :)

Okay, I don't know how many CG has, but my instinct is about 1700 subscribers.

I've had the stats for Thursday and it's between 1,500 and 2,000. SO if anybody would like to revise their guesses for today...

I can assure you that was purely accidental :)

The total count for Friday was....

1,960
(not sure if that's good or bad)

So congrats to Tim who was the closest with 2,000 (we'll be there soon enough I hope :))

I've just seen that over at the CG Blog :) Nice piece of information.

We got over 2000 subscribers yesterday (2,083 to be precise) so it looks like we are growing. We've also been accepted into the Feedburner Ad Network (FAN) which will hopefully mean they'll be a bit more money to invest in prizes :)
