Getting Points for Links to CG and Points

With the $1,000 contest (http://forums.coolest-gadgets.com/showthread.php?t=55) we have going you get 5 points for each link you place to CG. The way this works is going to be a bit manual. Any links that you get post in this thread saying where they are and the total number of links you have so far.

e.g. T0PS30 could post:
Total Links: 1
URL: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=126492

then if he placed a link somewhere else he would post

Total Links: 2
URL: http://www.bbc.co.uk

I think that works and shouldn't be too time consuming to check (not that I think I'd really need to check).

You know because you trust the guy who runs the forum. It's only a freebie giveaway, even if he forgot your points it'd be OK because he owes you nothing.

I think I have 100K Co-op weight unused ;)

Maybe there should be some rules about what type of links people can throw at it to avoid abuse? For example I assume you wouldn't want 1000 link vault links.

You can trust me, honest guv. What I'll do is post a break down of who has got what when the contest closes. Everbodies last post in this thread should include the total number of links they have got.

Haha, no Co-op or Link Vault links please as they won't count and I haven't got time to be reading tiny links at the bottom of spammy sorry quality web pages.

With all due respect, it's a contest, so technically I'd think he does owe the winner something and to keep track of members points, which I know he will. :cool:

These no mods here yet but when there are they would be allowed to compete as that's only fair. Colleen is an Admin but that's so she can tweak the skin if needs be so she's in the contest (not that I think you'd complain at that inclusion Amit ;)).

You only get points per site, otherwise you could stick a link in your sig and get 100s of points

Im overly competitive... i mean when i do soem thing i go all the way and thansome.. I mean... I built a tesla coil 250,000 volts and its not enugh so now im working on a 1kV thats 1,000,000 volts version its jsut the point im a sick bastage when it comes to doing things... I buy a paintball marker i mod the hell out of it and make it shoot 33 balls per second and its not enugh...
