I've turned on the reputation system so that you can let people know when they've made a good (or bad) post. To leave rep for somebody simple click the scales at the top right of the post.
I'll leave positive rep (blue) when:
I found the post informative or very amusing
It looks like a member has put a fair bit of effort into making the post
times I'll leave negative rep are:
Post adds nothing to the thread
Post is full of spelling or grammatical errors
Rep is a bit of fun but shouldn't be abused by swapping or asking people to vote (it will come naturally). I may judge some contest prizes on it in the future.
Also when leaving rep the recipient can see who left it (which is not the case on all forums). Finally to see your own rep click the blue box at the top right of any posts you make or look at the bottom of your User CP (http://forums.coolest-gadgets.com/usercp.php) (will only show if you've received some yet).
