Suggest a Digital SLR

Any suggestions for an entry-level digi SLR camera? I'm going to Barcelona in a few weeks and want to buy a decent digi SLR. I don't want to get anything too complicated ! :) I need to figure out how to use it before going!

So, any suggestions?

Yeah - they are pricey ! But I love taking photos

Brand matters for SLR camera.
I believe kadhal suggested some great cameras there.

Yeah - looking at some Nikon ones too. Brand seems to be king all right. Want to get one able to make some decent night shots also.

My cousin is a sworn Nikon user, and I've played with her cameras, they're all pretty nice, but I'm not at all knowledgable about SLRs.

I'd say check out reviews on Amazon, or other sites.
