orange peeler

I have always hated peeling oranges. It takes me forever. Some of you may have seen these before, but this is the first time I have run across this gadget. I thought it looked like a pretty nifty little thing to have around.

Cute. Does it work though? I used to love those orange juice straws you could stick inside a orange and drink the juice out lol.

I have not thought about those in years. I wonder if they even still sell those straws? I think for the price I just might see if the peeler really works.

It looks nifty, and cute. But, it looks just like an orange peeler I have at home, th only difference being that mine isn't snail-shaped. Mine is just the little cutting point shown there on an orange plastic stick I think I'll stick with using a spoon (yes, it really does work once you get the hang of it).

oh that is so cute! they should make that little blade adjustable for different thickness orange peels.

FourBear - how do you use a spoon to peel an orage?

I'm not sure Jessie...I think it's an art I use the spoon to carefully get through the rind, then wedge it between the rind and the orange all the way around. Easier to demonstrate than explain.

I will have to try the spoon idea. Never heard of using a spoon before. Thanks for the tip fourbear.

Unlike the dumb banana peeler, that is something I might find useful.

However, I like the spoon idea and will give that a try.

I must have missed the banana peeler. But than again I've seen so many different gadgets on here I might have forgotten it. It does sound pretty useless.
